The SSI Advanced Adventurer program at Signature Scuba Gili Trawangan is a versatile course that allows certified divers to explore five different specialties, such as deep diving, navigation, or night diving. Under the guidance of our SSI & PADI certified instructors, you’ll complete one adventure dive from each of five specialties — giving you a taste of advanced diving techniques without committing to a full specialty course.
Around Gili Trawangan, your adventure dives might include deep diving at Meno Wall, night diving at Biorock Reef, underwater navigation across Halik Reef, or drift diving through Shark Point. Upon completion, you’ll earn the SSI Advanced Adventurer certification and be qualified to dive up to 30 meters (100 feet) — unlocking deeper and more thrilling dive sites around Gili Trawangan.

📖 Course Overview — Advance Adventurer
The SSI Advanced Adventurer course is designed for Open Water Divers who want to expand their skills, experience new types of diving, and gain confidence in a variety of conditions. Over 3 days, you'll complete five different specialty dives — each introducing you to a new aspect of advanced recreational diving.
The course includes two core dives: Deep Diving (to 30 meters/100 feet) and Underwater Navigation. You'll then choose three additional specialty dives from options including Night Diving, Perfect Buoyancy, Wreck Diving, Search & Recovery, or Digital Underwater Photography — based on your interests and local conditions.
Each dive includes a brief knowledge review followed by practical application in open water. You'll learn deep dive planning, navigation techniques, buoyancy refinement, and specialty-specific skills under the direct supervision of a certified SSI Instructor. The course is highly practical — you'll spend most of your time in the water developing real-world abilities.
Upon successful completion, you'll earn the SSI Advanced Adventurer certification. This certification qualifies you to dive to 30 meters, improves your overall diving competence, and counts toward the SSI Master Diver rating. Best of all, each of the five dives counts as the first dive toward the corresponding SSI Specialty certification — giving you a head start on future specialty training.

📖 Course Overview — Advance Single Trial
The Advance Single Trial program is designed for Open Water Divers who want to experience a specific type of advanced diving without committing to a full specialty certification. In just one day, you'll complete a focused knowledge review followed by one guided open water dive in your chosen specialty.
Choose from Deep Diving (experience depths to 30m), Night Diving (discover nocturnal marine life), Navigation (master compass techniques), Perfect Buoyancy (refine your control), or Wreck Diving (explore sunken vessels). Each option provides a genuine taste of that specialty — enough to decide if you want to pursue full certification.
The trial includes approximately one hour of online or digital theory covering the essential concepts for your chosen specialty, followed by a supervised open water dive where you'll practice key skills under the guidance of a certified SSI Instructor.
While the trial does not result in a certification, it's a fantastic way to explore new diving experiences with minimal time and financial commitment. If you decide to complete the full specialty later, your trial dive counts toward the certification requirements. Trial dives also count toward the Advanced Adventurer course if you complete five different specialty trials.
