It’s an introduction, not a certification. This is important to understand. Our Discover Scuba Diving experience in Gili Trawangan is designed to let you try scuba diving in a safe and controlled environment.
Under the guidance of our SSI & PADI certified instructors, you’ll explore the shallow, calm waters of sites like Halik Reef or the Underwater Sculptures.
The Discover Scuba Diving experience includes a classroom theory session where you'll learn the basics of diving, followed by equipment orientation to get you familiar with your gear. Then, you'll have a swimming pool training session to practice essential skills in a controlled environment. Once you're ready, you'll head into the ocean for your guided dive, reaching a maximum depth of 12 meters, where you'll have the chance to witness the amazing marine life. All equipment is provided, and we'll capture underwater footage of you, your friends, and your family—completely free!

📖 Course Overview
The Discover Scuba Diving program is the perfect introduction to the underwater world for complete beginners. No prior experience or certification is required — just a sense of adventure and a desire to explore. In just half a day, you'll go from never having dived to breathing underwater and exploring Gili Trawangan's vibrant coral reefs.
The experience begins with a classroom theory session covering the basics — how pressure affects your body, how to equalize your ears, proper breathing techniques, hand signals for communication, and essential safety rules. Your instructor keeps everything simple and easy to understand, with plenty of time for questions.
Next, you'll get fitted with professional scuba equipment and learn how each piece works. Then it's into the swimming pool (or calm, shallow water) for your confined water session. Here you'll practice essential skills like breathing from the regulator, clearing your mask, recovering your regulator if it falls out, and equalizing ear pressure — all with your instructor right by your side in a safe, controlled environment.
Finally, you'll head out for your open water dive — a guided experience to a maximum depth of 12 meters (40 feet). You'll stay with your instructor and small group at all times, exploring colorful coral gardens, tropical fish, and maybe even sea turtles. The entire dive is relaxed and focused on fun and discovery, not skills testing.
After your dive, you'll receive complimentary underwater photos and video footage — a perfect souvenir of your first underwater adventure. If you decide to continue, your Discovery Scuba experience can be credited toward full Open Water Diver certification.
